the muffin report...

i stopped at the treats store

today's muffin...

well it was actually the coffee cake mini loaf, they had a muffin of the same flavour, but i went with the mini loaf.

there were two types of coffee cake min i loaf. regular, and sour cream coffee cake.
i dislike sour cream so i went with the regular option


appearance: golden with brown sugar crumble and a few pieces of nuts on top.

texture: light and fluffy. more like cake than muffin

butter: nope

warmed up: nope...no need

taste: the cakey part was pretty bland. there was a wee hint of cinnamon, but not very much. the brown sugar on top was tasty. there was a minuscule amount of nuts in it so they didn't add much to the overall experience.

but then....in the middle of the top of the treat...was a blob of some kind of white icing like stuff. which i think was sour cream. not tasty!!! very not tasty.

yumminess scale: 3/10....and only a 3 because of the fluffiness and the brown sugar.


overall....a very disappointing treat.
