listen up.....
Sep. 12th, 2007 12:31 pmso.....this might just seem ultra geeky to some of you so you might skim or skip over it....but..
i have never gone larp'ing. yet.
i used to always laugh at it and thought it looked kinda dorky. (and by 'kinda' i mean...'bwahahahah they are doing what?')
but holy hell does it look and sound like fun. i can't wait to play.
if you like action, adventure....intrigue....and fun...then you should at least come play one game. you might love it

Underworld LARP
As many of you know I have recently whipped out my full manhood of geekness and purchased myself a 50% ownership in one of the oldest LARP's in Ontario (Maybe Canada). Underworld LARP had been running extremely successfully for well over 10 years now. I've been a player for many of those. After a 3 year break and 1 new owner (me!) we've brought the game back to life. My partner Ted and I have poured so much work into this it's unbelievable but we've managed to put together a great set of rules and with a little help from my friends, a kick ass website. As an added note the game has just been reset and all characters are starting off at level 1 or 2. Never been a better time to start a game.
I'm writing it here because I know there are a few friends on my flist that would have a fucking blast playing this game. I know most of them won't ever come out because of the ultra nerdy stigma that LARP'ing has obtained. I can assure you we are not all sickly pale, D&D lovin nerds who live in their mom's basement. Most of us have in fact, have moved out of the basement :D It's a blast...trust me. You get to run around the woods with your friends and beat them with foam.

That’s the gist. I encourage anybody that is interested to check out the site. We have our first event on Nov 3rd (our Halloween event) and we'll start full time next spring. We're always looking for new players so if you have any questions feel free to ask me here or at our forums here
*edit* Rules can be found Here. PLEASE keep in mind this a beta copy. Nothing has be proof read or spell checked. We're still working on the formatting and fine tuning. Same with the pics. They are just placeholders.
